🎨 Fine Arts at HSLJ

While HSLJ is focused on public service, law, and justice, we strongly encourage student creativity and artistic expression through  fine arts clubs and enrichment opportunities.

Signature Events & Experiences:

🎤 BPA Talent Show (November)
Hosted by the Business Professionals of America, this annual showcase enables students to showcase their talents—ranging from music and dance to poetry and comedy— to the entire school community. Prizes are awarded for top performers.

🎨 Spring Break Mural Intensive
Through a partnership with the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH), select HSLJ students participate in the Spring Break Mural Intensive. Led by artists like Alex Rubio and Vincent Valdez, students help design and paint a public mural in Houston’s East End, gaining real-world art experience and contributing to a lasting community project.

🐎 Rodeo Art Contest
Every year, HSLJ art students proudly participate in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Student Art Contest. This prestigious competition allows students to showcase their creativity and potentially earn recognition, scholarships, and a spot in the rodeo’s citywide exhibit.
